Services / AI Foundations

Most pre-seed founders are building on assumptions about their business — not evidence. AI Foundations replaces those assumptions with a clear picture of your workflows, your data, and exactly where AI creates leverage.

A 2–3 month engagement. We map how your business actually works, find where AI fits, and deliver two reports: one for your investors, one for you.

THE PROBLEM

"We're going to use AI" is not an AI strategy.

Pre-seed founders know AI matters. What most don't have is an honest picture of where their business processes actually stand, whether their data is usable, and which specific workflows AI could improve versus which ones it would just complicate. Without that foundation, AI decisions are guesses — and investors can tell.

THE PROCESS

3 phases. A business that understands itself — and can explain that to investors.

Each phase has a clear output. You always know where you are and what comes next.

1

Workflow & Data Discovery

Weeks 1–3

We spend time understanding how your business actually operates — not how you think it does. We map your core workflows end-to-end, identify where manual effort is concentrated, and assess the quality and accessibility of the data those workflows generate. Most founders discover things about their own operations in this phase that they hadn't seen clearly before.

Output

Business process workflow map · Data quality assessment · Bottleneck and opportunity register.

2

AI Strategy & Optimisation Plan

Weeks 4–8

Based on what we found, we build your AI strategy from the ground up — specific opportunities ranked by impact and feasibility, not a generic framework. Where it makes sense for the client, we work through selected workflow optimisations hands-on. Where it doesn't, we scope them precisely so your team or a future hire can implement with a clear brief.

Output

Prioritised AI opportunity map · Workflow optimisation briefs · Implementation roadmap with effort estimates.

3

Reports & Handoff

Weeks 9–12

Two documents. Different audiences. Different jobs.

The investor report is written for a fundraising conversation. It covers where AI creates competitive advantage in your business, what you've already done, what you're building next, and why it matters for the market you're in. Designed to be shared directly — as a PDF after intro calls or as a leave-behind after pitch meetings.

The founder report is operational. It covers everything your investor report doesn't need to — the full workflow map, the data landscape, the detailed opportunity briefs, the implementation roadmap, and the decisions you'll need to make. Written for you and your CTO.

Output

Investor report (shareable, fundraising-ready) · Founder report (full operational detail).

WHAT YOU GET

Two reports. Both ready to use the day you receive them.

Investor Report

Shareable · Fundraising-ready

  • AI competitive advantage narrative
  • What you've built and what's next
  • Market context for your AI approach
  • Designed to share directly in fundraising follow-ups

Founder Report

Full operational detail · For you and your CTO

  • Full business process workflow map
  • Data quality assessment
  • Prioritised AI opportunity map
  • Workflow optimisation briefs
  • Implementation roadmap with effort estimates
  • Decisions and open questions for your team
GOOD FIT

Built for pre-seed founders who are serious about building on solid ground.

Pre-seed Founder

You're building the foundations of your business. You know AI is going to matter but you haven't had the time — or the outside perspective — to figure out exactly where. You're approaching your first raise and want to walk into investor conversations with a clear, evidence-backed AI narrative rather than a vague plan.

Technical Co-founder

You're experimenting with AI already but it's ad hoc. Nobody has mapped how the whole business operates or where AI creates systematic advantage versus isolated productivity gains. You want a structured view before you make hiring or build decisions.

This engagement is the right starting point before AI Readiness or Agentic Audit. If you already have AI in production, see our Agentic AI Audit.

We work at the cusp of tech and business.

Helping early-stage founders get closer to their next raise — through solutions at the intersection of technology and business outcomes.
